Description

This Y shaped dog harness follows your dog's anatomy: the straps meet on the breastbone and leave the shoulders completely free. It's a comfortable everyday harness for medium and large dogs who love to move, with breathable fabric, reflective strips and a matching leash.

The Y shape, explained

On a Y harness, the neck strap and the chest strap join in a Y at the front of the chest. Nothing crosses the shoulders, so the front legs can extend fully at every step. That's why the Y cut is a favorite for active dogs, long hikes and dogs who simply walk a lot.

Y or H harness?

Both shapes are comfortable. The H harness has two separate rings around the neck and chest, while the Y harness adds a center strap down the breastbone for better stability. If you're unsure, the Y cut is a versatile starting point.

Freedom of movement

When the shoulders are free, your dog can trot, run and climb with a natural stride. That's especially noticeable on long walks in the countryside, during hikes, or for energetic breeds that cover a lot of ground at every outing.

Comfort on every walk

Breathable nylon keeps the harness light and airy, and the smooth straps sit flat against the coat. Two adjustment points, at the neck and around the chest, help you get a precise fit even for deep-chested breeds.

Seen after dark

Reflective strips catch headlights and torchlight, helping your dog stand out on autumn evenings and winter mornings.

The matching leash clips to the ring on the back, so the set is ready to use as soon as it arrives. It's a practical choice if you're equipping a new dog or replacing worn gear.

What's in the box

  • 1 Y-shaped harness
  • 1 matching leash

Sizes and fit

Three sizes cover chest measurements from about 42 to 87 cm. Measure your dog, check the size guide and adjust the straps so two fingers slide underneath. The harness clips on the back, which keeps it comfortable rather than corrective: for a dog that pulls hard, a front-clip model is a better match. Hand wash and air dry to keep the fabric in good condition.

For long hikes, check the straps after the first kilometers: a well-adjusted Y harness shouldn't move around or rub under the front legs. Rinse off mud after outdoor walks and store it dry.

A Y harness is a reliable everyday companion for years of walks.

Pass the neck loop over the head so the Y sits on the breastbone, then click the chest buckle.

    Adjust both points

Fine-tune the neck and chest straps until two fingers slide underneath, with the Y centered.

  4. Step 4

Your questions, honest answers

What other pet parents usually ask before choosing.

You askWhy choose a Y harness over an H or T harness?
Our team answers

A Y-shaped harness leaves the front of the shoulders free, unlike T-style straps that run straight across the chest. Many owners prefer it for active dogs and long walks because it doesn't restrict the stride. It's a comfortable everyday choice rather than an anti-pull tool. If you're new to harnesses, the Y cut is an easy, well-balanced choice for most body shapes.

You askWill it stop my dog from pulling?
Our team answers

This harness clips on the back and is designed for comfort, not to correct pulling. If your dog pulls hard, a front-clip harness and some leash training will help more. Reward your dog for walking on a loose leash, and stop when the leash goes tight. With patience, the back clip becomes perfect for relaxed daily walks.

You askHow do I pick between M, L and XL?
Our team answers

Use the chest measurement: around 42-57 cm for M, 50-71 cm for L and 61-87 cm for XL. The ranges overlap, so if your dog is in between, pick the size where its measurement sits in the middle of the range. Check the fit after the first walk. Then fine-tune with the adjusters.

You askIs it easy to put on?
Our team answers

Yes. Slip the neck loop over the head, close the chest buckle and adjust. After a couple of tries it takes only a few seconds. The chest buckle clicks shut securely, and you can leave the neck strap adjusted between walks so it's ready to go next time. No tools, no fuss.

Questions

Before you choose

Answers to the questions we're asked about this product.

Still have a question? Get in touch
01Is a Y harness better than an H harness?
A Y harness keeps the shoulder joint clear and rests on the breastbone, which preserves your dog's stride. Many owners prefer it for active dogs and long walks.
02Which size should I choose?
Measure the chest behind the front legs and pick the size whose range includes it: M 16.5-22.5 in, L 19.5-28 in, XL 24-34 in.
03Is it suitable for puppies?
Yes, the Y shape works well for growing puppies. Check the fit every week, since their chest grows quickly.
04How do I clean it?
Hand wash with lukewarm water and a mild soap, then air dry.
