Description
This cat scratching mat lets you create a scratching zone exactly where your cat wants one: a self-adhesive, trimmable textile you can stick on a sofa side, a wall corner, a step or a worn cat tree. Available in five sizes and three colors, it's a flexible, discreet way to protect your furniture while respecting your cat's need to scratch.
A scratcher that fits anywhere
Every cat has favorite scratching spots, and they're rarely where you placed the scratching post. Instead of fighting that habit, this mat lets you turn those spots into proper scratching zones. Cut it to size, peel off the backing and stick it on: your cat keeps scratching in the same place, on a surface designed for it.
For sofas, walls, stairs and cat trees
Use it as a cat scratching mat for sofa sides and arms, to cover a wall corner, to wrap a staircase post or to refresh the worn surfaces of a cat tree.
A woven surface claws can grip
The dense woven textile offers the resistance cats look for when they scratch. It helps keep claws in good condition and lets your cat stretch the whole body, just like on a classic scratching post, without taking up any extra floor space.
Installation tips
Always test a small piece on a hidden area first, wait a day and check how it holds and peels off. Clean and dry the surface, measure the area, cut the mat with scissors and press it on firmly from the center outward. Smooth, sturdy surfaces such as painted walls, wood or synthetic leather work best. Be careful with delicate fabrics, velvet or wallpaper.
Encourage the habit
Rub a little catnip on the mat, drag a toy across it and reward your cat each time they scratch it. Vacuum it regularly to remove hair and fibers, and replace the piece when it becomes very worn. Combined with a scratching post or a cardboard scratcher, it helps your cat find good places to scratch all around the home.

Your questions, honest answers
What other pet parents usually ask before choosing.
Will the adhesive damage my furniture?
It depends on the surface. Try a small offcut somewhere discreet and look at it again after 24 hours. Smooth, clean surfaces such as painted walls, wood or synthetic leather usually work best. On delicate fabrics, velvet or wallpaper, be extra careful, as the adhesive could leave marks when removed.
Which size should I choose?
Measure the area your cat scratches. The 12 x 12 in size is perfect for a small patch, 12 x 24 in and 12 x 39 in cover a sofa side or a door frame, and the 16 x 39 in and 24 x 24 in sizes create large scratching zones on a wall or the back of a sofa. You can always trim a larger mat down.
Will my cat scratch it rather than the sofa?
Stick the mat right on the spot your cat already scratches, so the gesture stays the same but the surface is now designed for it. Rub a little catnip on it and reward your cat when they use it. Many owners also use it to renew a worn cat tree or create new scratching spots around the home.
How do I clean it?
Vacuum the mat regularly to remove hair and loose fibers. For small marks, dab gently with a slightly damp cloth, without soaking it, so the adhesive stays strong. When the surface becomes very worn after months of use, simply replace it with a new piece. Keep offcuts to patch worn areas quickly.

Reply from the shop
Thanks for the feedback. On textured walls, a few small finishing nails or double-sided tape at the corners keep it perfectly flat.
