cat-scratching-mat
Self-Adhesive Cat Scratching Mat, Trimmable for Walls or Sofas

This cat scratching mat lets you create a scratching zone exactly where your cat wants one: a self-adhesive, trimmable textile you can stick on a sofa side, a wall corner, a step or a worn cat tree. Available in five sizes and three colors, it's a flexible, discreet way to protect your furniture while respecting your cat's need to scratch.

A scratcher that fits anywhere

Every cat has favorite scratching spots, and they're rarely where you placed the scratching post. Instead of fighting that habit, this mat lets you turn those spots into proper scratching zones. Cut it to size, peel off the backing and stick it on: your cat keeps scratching in the same place, on a surface designed for it.

For sofas, walls, stairs and cat trees

Use it as a cat scratching mat for sofa sides and arms, to cover a wall corner, to wrap a staircase post or to refresh the worn surfaces of a cat tree.

A woven surface claws can grip

The dense woven textile offers the resistance cats look for when they scratch. It helps keep claws in good condition and lets your cat stretch the whole body, just like on a classic scratching post, without taking up any extra floor space.

Five sizes, three colors

Choose from 12 x 12 in for a small patch up to 16 x 39 in or 24 x 24 in for a large scratching zone. Cream, brown or navy blend with most interiors and upholstery colors. Since the mat can be trimmed, you can also buy a larger size and cut several pieces for different spots in the home.

Installation tips

Always test a small piece on a hidden area first, wait a day and check how it holds and peels off. Clean and dry the surface, measure the area, cut the mat with scissors and press it on firmly from the center outward. Smooth, sturdy surfaces such as painted walls, wood or synthetic leather work best. Be careful with delicate fabrics, velvet or wallpaper.

Encourage the habit

Rub a little catnip on the mat, drag a toy across it and reward your cat each time they scratch it. Vacuum it regularly to remove hair and fibers, and replace the piece when it becomes very worn. Combined with a scratching post or a cardboard scratcher, it helps your cat find good places to scratch all around the home.
